The HI-4104-51 is a replacement sensing module for the HI-4104 Calcium Combination Ion Selective Electrode.
The HI-4104-51 Calcium sensor is for use with the HI-4104 Calcium Combination Ion Selective Electrode (ISE).
The liquid membrane sensor contains an organic polymer within the inert PVC matrix that is responsible for exchange of calcium ions across the membrane. An imbalance develops between the sample and the internal cell in response to the Calcium ion activity. The change is proportional to the concentration of ions in solution.
The screw fixing on to the probe body (HI-4104) makes for easy replacement.
Pre-soaking the Calcium sensor in a dilute standard without ionic strength adjuster (ISA) for at least an hour before calibration will help to optimise the sensor response.
Refrigeration of HI-4104-51 is recommended to extend its life.
