Full Description Specification

The 4-ring conductivity sensor contains AISI 316 stainless steel electrodes.

Sensor can be used with the HI-7609829 & HI-7629829 series of probes.

Conductivity/Turbidity sensor

EC/Turbidity sensor, with o-ring, to be used with HI-9829 and HI-98290 multi-parameter meters.

By design, turbidity measurements conform to ISO 7027 standards using an optical technique to measure suspended particles in water.

The HI-7609829-4 is a combined conductivity and turbidity sensor for use with Hanna’s HI-9829 Multiparameter Portable Meter. The sensor body is constructed of durable ABS and epoxy material. The 4 ring conductivity sensor contains AISI 316 stainless steel electrodes that are not subject to polarisation or surface coating effects. By design, turbidity measurements conform to ISO 7027 standards using an optical technique to measure suspended particles in water.

Turbidity is the amount of particulate matter that is suspended in water. Turbidity measures the scattering effect that suspended solids have on light; the higher the intensity of scattered light, the higher the turbidity. Material that causes water to be turbid include: clay, silt, finely divided organic and inorganic matter, soluble coloured organic compounds, plankton and microscopic organisms. Conductivity measurement is the same as in the HI-7609829-3.
