The HI-4014-51 Potassium sensing Module is for use with the HI-4014 Potassium half-cell Ion Selective Electrode (ISE). Purchased as a replacement.
The liquid membrane sensor is responsible for the exchange of Potassium ions across the membrane. An imbalance develops between the sample and the internal cell in response to the Potassium ion activity. The change is proportional to the concentration of ions in solution.
The screw fixing on to the probe body (HI-4014) makes for easy replacement.
Pre-soaking the Potassium sensor in a dilute standard without ionic strength adjuster (ISA) for at least an hour before calibration will help to optimise the sensor response.
Refrigeration of HI-4014-51 is recommended to extend its life.
